Lisa Marie Presley
has released her 3rd studio album out May 15, 2012, STORM &
GRACE. Getting back to American root
music, this album is a subdued collection of bluesy rock n’roll songs with many
shades of country undertones, produced by Grammy winning Producer T
Bone Burnett.
The sultry
alto with her slow seductive delivery of each number seems well suited to T
Bone Burnett's traditional deep base, and heavy drum rhythms that brings us her best effort so far.
At the age
of 44, Lisa Marie the mother of 4 (Oldest 22 year old daughter and the youngest
3 yr. old twins) is receiving good reviews for STORM & GRACE. After
mediocre reviews, her previous albums never really made her out to be a rock
n’roll diva as expected. The latest album seems more suited to her voice, and style of
delivery.
Lisa Marie Says “ In this process of writing this record, I found a better bed for myself
and my voice and my writing to lie in."
If nothing else, Lisa Marie Presley, the only
child of the "King of Rock and Roll", Elvis Presley is a reputable song writer, and humanitarian.
In October 1997, Presley along with friend and fellow Memphian Isaac Hayes, opened the Literacy, Education and Ability Program (LEAP). LEAP is a free program for children and people of all ages
in Memphis, Tennessee. LEAP provides effective educational services and
materials that help people learn how to learn and study effectively and thereby
have the ability to achieve their goals and realize their full potential.
On January 5, 2002, Presley received the
Humanitarian Award from the World Literacy Crusade for her efforts
to help children across America learn valuable skills for study and improve
their lives. Lisa Marie Presley received her award from Isaac Hayes, Chaka Khan and Yolanda King, daughter of
the late Martin Luther King Jr
