Boz Scaggs: Singer/Songwriter released his latest album MEMPHIS, out March
5, 2013.
The Grammy winning Rock Legend has dabbled in Blues Rock,
Soft Rock, and Jazz Rock and he is at it again. The Blue-eyed soul singer is on the front lines with his 20th Studio album which combines original material and some
choice covers doing what he always wanted to do: Sing.
As with so many aging rockers, he is giving us something to
remember him by in his later years. At
age 68 he is still singing strong, maybe not with the same intensity, but
surely he has delivered a quality album for us.
The album is bluesy, soft rock, blues rock, fun and easy to
listen to. I was going to download a few
songs but after listening to it a few times I decided I had to have the entire
album, and I'm pleased with it; just plain good music!
On the Album with Scaggs, is Ray Parker Jr. guitar, Willie
Weeks bass, Spooner Oldham keyboards, Steve Jordon drums, and the Memphis Horns, all
notable musicians in their own right.
