Haim released their debut album Sep 30,
2013, DAYS ARE GONE, the Indie Pop group from LA consists of sisters Este (27) and Danielle (24) Haim, past members of the Valli Girls, an all
girl rock band and drummer Dash Hutton,
formerly of LA bands, Wires On Fires, and Slang Chicken.
The Nu-Folk-meets-nineties-R&B
group, had released a few singles and an EP prior to the release of their debut
album.
The Haim
girls grew up on 70’s classic rock performing with Mom (Donna) & Dad (Moti)
as the ‘Rockinghaim’ at local charities and fairs in the LA area.
A few articles published compare them to Fleetwood Mac, but I don’t hear that at all. Haim has played cover songs of theirs, but the band does not sound like them. They say they were inspired by TLC, & Destinys Child, but again they sound like
neither. I think you will be pleased to hear them; good sound, not the typical
sound of the auto-tune bands of today. They have far more depth than a lot of groups
and they are musically talented, vocally as well as on the guitar. A nice change in music.
Haim,
recently won the BBC 'Sound of 2013'
Award and were nominated for the
MTV ‘BRAND
NEW for 2013’
