After
all that why didn’t she make it here?
She has since changed record labels, and her music is more mature. The
pop singer/songwriter has come back with a fresh new look and sound to her
music.
In 2008, she quit the business, because it
didn’t make her happy, she felt she was on a production line. Although music is
what she knows studying classical piano since the age of six, she also plays
guitar, and began singing at the age of 12 at public events, she gave it all up to
find herself.
All the accolades didn’t bring Higgins what
she hoped it would, but she has since found a renewed desire to perform and write
again. Her music is passionate; the catchy melodies are revealing and honest,
and far superior to her first two albums.
Higgins
music, mostly ballads, has been compared to Sarah McLachlan & Vanessa
Carlton, with a bit of Atlantis Morissette.
