CROSSING THE LINE, is the 3rd
solo studio album of Simon McBride
from Belfast Northern Ireland out September
2012. His earlier albums were released
in European markets.
McBride
is a Classic Blues Rock guy, with precise guitar riffs, and the talent of Eric Clapton, Joe
Bonamassa, the late SRV, and the late Jimi Hendrix . A guitar virtuoso by the age of 15, McBride has
opened for Jeff
Beck, Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satrini, and Derek Trucks, and many others.
He was in a metal band ‘Sweet Savage’ and later joined up with fellow Irishman Andrew Strong for
6 years, before taking on a solo career in 2008, as vocalist and guitar man.
The
album has a few cover songs; ‘Heartbreaker’
from Blood Sweat & Tears is brought to a new
level with McBride, and vocalist Mia Simone, Paul Hamilton on drums and Carl Harvey on bass.
Also included in original songs, ‘Home
To Me’, and from previous albums ‘Down
To The Wire’, and much more.
While McBride is not well known in the USA, it won’t be long before his name is a household word in the Blues Rock genre.
McBride
tours and promotes PRS (Paul
Reed Smith) Guitars, a high-end electric guitar manufactured in Maryland.
