Jack Savoretti: Released his 3rd
studio album June 2012 BEFORE THE
STORM to European markets. I love this guy! He says it all for me, his
poetic lyric resonates the softness of a whisper and reminds me of the great
Bob Dylan. His vocals are reminiscent of Amos Lee with a pinch of Chris Cornell.
Savoretti can belt a tune infused with his
gravely depth, that takes one into the melodious lyric of the song like that of ‘Vagabond’, ‘Knock Knock’,’ Last Call’, ‘Breaking the Rules’ and
more.
As
a young man he wrote poetry, and was encouraged by his Mother to put his words
to music. He was "surprised how much more people listen to you when you are singing
than if you read a poem," he admits. "After that, I couldn’t stop, it
was constant writing, every day, it became almost a form of conversation, the
way I interact with the world."
Savoretti is a London native of
English/Italian decent who later moved to Switzerland where he went to an The American School on the border of Italy/Switzerland. He claims this is where his
accent which he calls ‘transatlantic mutt’ comes from.
ITUNES recently released a single from the album ‘LIFETIME’ out May 19, 2013. This album is great! A must
have from Savoretti and his band ‘Dirty
Romances’, their best effort so far.
