This Texas style Bluesman from Massachusetts, who is a furious guitar man, and a passionate singer songwriter, gets the crowd going with his CD “Feel So Good” (2008) Plain and simple, well maybe the spectator shoes aren't so plain, a working man himself (former carpenter) this guy is a hard-hitting bluesman.
His performance LIVE makes you want to get down and dirty with his ruff straight up, coming at you kind of blues. His style is reminiscent of the late/great Stevie Ray Vaughan. You can hear the familiar riffs as he brings the crowd to their feet with his rowdy “Party Right Here”, “Why Me”, and Hoochie Coochie Man” He appeals to the party going, working men/women who just want to have fun.
“Sleep” demonstrates his guitar finesse and the softer side of Albert Cummings. I think no matter what genre you are partial to; most people would appreciate this number.
“Together As One” Another fine demonstration of the guitar savvy this man has accomplished and again his softer side vocally, a little Roy Orbinson style.
I accidentally stumbled on this guy while reviewing other blues/rock artist, and became a fan instantly. He has not has a CD out in a while, but here is a list of CD’s by Albert Cummings.
1999 The Long Way with the Swamp Yankees
2003 From the Heart
2004 True to Yourself
2006 Working Man Blues
2008 Feel So Good
He excels at the LIVE performance; he’s like the Jimmy Buffet of the party crowd singing the blues to make you feel good. He gets the crowd on their feet with “The Blues Makes Me Feel So Good” If you get a chance to see him in concert, you are guaranteed to have a great time.
