DONELL JONES: SINGER/SONGWRITER/PRODUCER/MUSICIAN
In September 2010, Donell Jones released his 6th Album LYRICS.
The American R/B Soul Singer is classified as Spinto Tenor, which means he has a wide range of flexibility in his vocals. Technically he could be an opera singer, if trained properly. With his excellent voice, he delivers a familiar smooth sexy R/B soul sound.
A former gang member from Chicago’s south side and father of 5 girls, the singer/songwriter made the right career choice when he moved away from the gang activity and focused his energy on his music. He wrote “Think of You” for Usher, he has produced for Madonna, and various other artist, both writing and producing music. He is following in the footsteps of such notables as Babyface, and R. Kelly and he is making important contributions to R/B Music.
With 18 singles to his credit, this album is not as fabulous as it should be with his voice and range, but it does have some down loadable tunes:
“Blackmail” “Imagine That”, “The Finer Things in Life”, “Just a little”, and “Love Like This”, which was released as a single in August 2010. We are guaranteed to hear more great things from him in the future, in the form of writing, producing and performing.
