GRACE POTTER: SINGER/SONGWRITER & THE NOCTURNALS

GRACE POTTER & THE NOCTURNALS : LEAD SINGER/MUSICIAN/SONGWRITER

She has been popping up here and there this past year. I first noticed her while viewing a USO show on TV.  She was singing “Paris (ooh La La)”  from her CD GRACE POTTER AND THE NOCTURNALS and it prompted me to listen to more sounds from this girl.

Did I mention those legs?  She has legs tht don't quit!!

The Nocturnals formed in 2002, and this is their 5th Album. They have some top tunes from the previous CD’s but they are getting more recognition and air-time.  They are getting noticed for the right reasons, and that is they are a talented group and Grace, can sing with the best of them.

They are an American Pop, Folk Rock, Blues, Root Rock, Hard Rock Band, and  they can deliver the goods.

FYI:  Grace wrote “Something That I want” originally played on One Tree Hill, and rewrote for the Disney movie Tangled which she sang solo the closing credits of the movie.

Also songs on the CD of interest:  “Goodby Kiss”, in reggae style, a fun number.  “Money”  A bit of slinky soul, “One Short Night”  sounds like Bonnie Raitt, and “Hot Summer Night” is rockin!

I think this girl will be around for awhile, her voice with or with out the band,  The Nocturnals is distinct, relevant and she is a good female rocker. Which there are not that many around anymore, and she has a definite music career going.  Take a shot and listen to her music, I think you will be impressed by her range.
