ROCK 'N' ROLLS GREATEST GUITAR RIFFS

FYI:  50 Greatest Guitar RIFFS in ROCK ‘n’ Roll

Persse defines a riff as a short repeating musical theme. He simply needs to say a Riff is a repeated chord progression. 

A Lick is a short series of notes associated with the melodic lines.

A Riff or a Lick can be used as the bases for an entire song.

According to the list we have had two (2) Great Rock & Roll Riffs beginning in 2000 to date and 43 from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s, and 5 from the 90’s.

No-one will ever agree which 50 are the greatest/best of all time, because everyone appreciates music in a different way. However there seems to be some controversy regarding the definition of a RIFF or LICK?  See if you agree.  Make comments directly to the list at:
